A native of Donbass. He met with Alexander Pechersky in August 1942 in the punishment cell (the “Jewish basement”) of Stahlag 352 in the village of Masyukovshchina near Minsk. Then they were transferred to a work camp on ul. Wide in Minsk, from where they were deported to Sobibor from September 18, 1943 (arrived on September 23). During the October 14 uprising, together with Leon Felgendler and several other prisoners, he liquidated four SS men, including Scarfuhrer Joseph Wolf, in the 2nd camp.
