PODHLEBNIK (POLL) Shlomo

1907 - 1973

He was deported to Sobibor on April 28, 1943 with his wife and two children from a transit ghetto in Izbitsa Lubelskaya. He fled with Joseph Kopf and other prisoners on July 23 during forest work, killing guard Miron Flunt. Before the liberation of Eastern Poland, he hid from the peasants. After the war he emigrated to the United States. He lived in Vineland, New Jersey. He was engaged in kurovodstvo.
